The Flower in the Crannied Wall Sculpture was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Bock for the Susan Lawrence Dana House in Springfield, IL. Named for the Tennyson poem, Frank Lloyd Wright was so taken by the finished piece that he had one made for Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The sculpture, it is said, is a rendering of a nude female "rising from a geometric abstract column." The Alfred Lord Tennyson poem is engraved on the back of sculpture "Flower in the crannied wall, I pluck you out of the crannies, I hold you here, root and all, in my hand, little flower - but if I could understand what you are, root and all, and all in all, I should know what God and man is." This reproduction is made of hand cast resin and is recommended for Indoor Use Only. Height: 18.5". Wt: 13lbs. Ground Shipping only within the continental United States.
