While Yoshida push propeller model airplane kits are decidedly modern in design, they date from the early years of aviation history. Avion de Pénaud was designed and built in Paris in 1871 by Alphonse Pénaud. It was the first rubber-band model plane ever to be built and flown! The kit uses balsa wood, ultralight Styrofoam, rubber bands, and a 5" reverse-pitch propeller. Wingspan of approximately 16" and overall length of 18"
