The Feather, 1899 Art Glass Panel by Alphonse Mucha is adapted from a color lithograph and was the first of the Primrose and Feather panels to be published. The geometric mosaic motif contrasts with the floral ornamental circle inspired by nature in the companion piece Primrose. A version of this design was also used to advertise the J. Royer printing company.
On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass panel is then framed with a copper patina metal came for an antique feel, and includes both a hanging chain and clear acrylic stand for desk or table display. Dimensions: Ht: 12”. W: 5”.
