The Rookery Pattern Earrings were inspired by one of Sullivan's first early commercial skyscrapers in the heart of downtown Chicago. The Rookery was designed by the firm of Burnham and Root, with influences of Moorish, Byzantine, Venetian and Romanesque motifs. Frank Lloyd Wright had an office there in 1898 - 1899 and received a commission to redesign the lobby in 1905. Tarnish resistant silver plated finish on brass with chrome and black accents and translucent Tahitian black faux pearl. Hypoallergenic posts for pierced ears. French hooks.
