This Louis Comfort Tiffany Wisteria Stained Glass Panel, translating into glass the lush palette found in flowers and plants, was one of several transom windows designed for the dining room in Laurelton Hall, Tiffany's Long Island estate. Enjoying the lavenders and blues of the wisteria blossoms, Tiffany designed these windows in an Art Nouveau style, more lyrical than many of his earlier works. On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass panel is then framed with a metal came and includes hanging chain as well as a clear acrylic display stands for tabletop or desktop display. Louis Comfort Tiffany Wisteria Stained Glass in patinated metal frame measures 14" x 11.36".
