The inspiration for the Frank Lloyd Wright Willits Light Screen Black Enamel Earrings design comes from the Ward W. Willits House, Highland Park, Illinois, which is considered one of the first great Prairie School houses designed by Wright. In it he created “light screens” or stained glass windows that integrated the design theme throughout the house. The house presents a symmetrical façade to the street and seamlessly combines architecture with nature. The plan is a cruciate with four wings extending from a central fireplace. In addition, Wright designed the furniture for the house, and stained-glass windows (light screens). Those windows inspired these earrings. Solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish, giclee print, glass beads, ear wires are hypo-allergenic. Made in the USA. Gift boxed with descriptive insert. Length: 1.28”.
