In the 1930s, Junghans were manufacturing control panel instruments for airplanes and airships, ultimately devising a legendary pilot chronograph for the German Armed Forces in the 1950s. The fascination with aviation is clearly evident in the Pilot: Distinctive luminescent numerals and hands on the dial ensure optimum readability. The ergonomically designed bezel provides exceptional grip, as well as a unique look. The Junghans Pilot Chronoscope features a self-winding J880.4 movement with 38 hours power reserve with stop function, 30-minute counter, and small second. The case is stainless steel, with a diameter of 43.3mm, and height of 14.4mm, with a bi-directional turning bezel, and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The dial is matte black, with environmentally friendly luminous appliques and hands. Water resistant up to 10 ATM. Riveted leather strap with stainless steel buckle.
With roots back to 1861, Junghans produces all its watches in their Schramberg, Germany headquarters upholding their world-acclaimed aesthetic and producing some of the most recognizable dials in all of watchmaking. As an authorized Junghans dealer all watches have the Junghans 2 Year Warranty.
