The Pilar tableware collection is made from clay, quartz and minerals such as calcite and is defined as a ceramic product. The stoneware is molded at very high temperatures using casting techniques. Those high temperatures during the firing process make the stoneware more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. Pilar, a Spanish word meaning pillar or column, expresses the exquisite shapes and curves of the set and its ability to be stacked with strength. Dimensions: Cup is 3.19” in diameter (excluding handle) and 2.19” in height with a 7 oz capacity. Saucer is 5.69” in diameter, Dishwasher and microwave safe.
