The inspiration for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Lotus Pagoda Plique-à-Jour Earrings comes from the "Lotus Pagoda", a Japanese-inspired lamp by Tiffany Studios (1902-32) around 1900-15. This remarkable lamp is featured in the collection of the Met Museum's American Wing, and was once owned by an apprentice in architect Frank Lloyd Wright's studio. These earrings replicate the luster of the lamp's Favrile glass with plique-à-jour enameling, a technique that allows light to shine through the material. 18K gold plate with enamel. Sterling silver ear posts. Length: 2.5". Width: 1". Clean with a damp cloth and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Matching pendant necklace is also available.
