This vase is inspired by the Louis Comfort Tiffany Poppy design of scarlet blooms that play across the surface of a Tiffany lamps in the collection of the New York Historical Society. Designed by Clara Driscoll, Tiffany’s innovative manager of the Women’s Glass Cutting Department (the Tiffany Girls), it features her ingenious idea of incorporating a brass filigree overlay, giving intricate detail to the piece.
