Lemnos Riki Steel Numbers Clock

The Lemnos Riki Steel Numbers Clock features a numerical and line index with high visibility, emphasizing ease of reading. A subtle matte frame, silent sweeping hand movement, and glass face make it the perfect timepiece for any interior. Riki Watanabe (1911 - 2013) was a pioneer of modern Japanese design, receiving many awards including the Milan Triennale Exhibition Gold Award, the Mainichi Design Award, and the Japanese Medal of Honor with purple ribbon awarded by the Government of Japan. Beginning with manufacturing Buddhist altar fittings, Takata Lemnos started developing clock frames and bodies in the 1970s, with the clock division splitting off into its own company in 1984. Made in Japan, Lemnos products have received high acclaim. Examples are included in permanent collections at the Cooper-Hewitt, the National Design Museum, among others.
